The Elk is the nobility of the deer world. The brown mane
and impressive antlers make them a spectacular trophy animal.
The majority of the elk taken with us are six point, hunted in September
and early October when the elk are in full rut.
|
| Hunting elk during the rut has to be one of the greatest hunting
experiences possible. Bugling a big bull in is exciting and challenging. Elk are hunted
by horseback and on foot. Bugling and cow-talk is used to bring in the bulls whenever
possible.

Of BC's deer family, Elk are second in size only to the moose. You will
certainly be thankful for a guide and packhorses when you bring your trophy home. Our
guides are trained in the proper techniques for preserving the trophy and transporting the
meat. You are free to enjoy the hunt and the memories. |
| The size and diversity in our area allows us to customize elk hunts to the
physical condition of the hunter. Whether you want to tread paths seldom travelled, or
stay mainly with the horses, we can provide a quality hunt. Let us know what you need
for your hunt.
Spotting these animals can be a challenge, so be sure your binoculars are up to the
task. Bighorn hunters are the ones who frequently go the distance for the little extra
clarity offered by Zeiss or Swarovski optics. |

If elk is on the menu, you can go to our contact page to send us note or fill
out a hunting request form. We limit the number of hunts we hold each year, so don't wait
too long before booking. |
